John started riding when he was nine years old. his parents didn't have a lot of money,
this meant  that every pony he had was either  un-broken or was problematic.
This is when John started to learn how to deal with such horses.
Johns first pony was called Sea Witch, she was a 13.2 dapple grey mare that
was so sharp and so hard to ride.
He took the pony up the rankings and jumped at the  H.O.Y.S..
When he moved on to 14.2 s both ponies cost next to nothing, one was unbroken
one was an Arab pony  that had its fair share of problems. 
These both took years to get to the top.
Both ponies went to  H.O.Y.S. and the R.I.H.S..
 He went on to ride and work for some of the country's leading show jumpers
such as Lionel Dunning. 
 He has worked up and down the country since 1994, working for horse dealers as
a stable jockey where he has learnt so much more in  dealing with young
un-broken and problem horses and ponies.
He last worked for Mike Jones at Two Mills Sport Horses on the Wirral.
John broke and produced over thirty young horses for Mike in less than a year
that have gone on to do  well all over the country and still rides a string of
young horses for many clients that can be seen on the circuit today,
